I am a graduate of the Diploma Program in Web Design and Interactive Communication at the Art Institute of California, Sacramento. I also have a Ph.D. in Sociology and have been teaching in the African American & African Studies Program at the University of California, Davis since 1998. I have studied and taught at Sacramento City College as well.
I definitely believe in “life-long learning,” and continuing to sharpen my web design and programming skills is an ongoing goal of mine. Although I do have a full-time job, design, user experience, and learning to code are my passions. They are not just passing fancies.
And as if I don’t already have enough to do and to learn, I have begun learning photography, so I don’t have to be dependent upon stock photography for my design projects. You can see examples of my photography on Flickr, or on Tumblr.
In addition to all of the above I am a husband of more than 26 years and a father of two awesome kids.
