This website was made for a client who leads a book club, “The Literary Ladies Alliance.” She wanted a “quick and dirty” site that she could use to display and maintain a calendar, publish updates and announcements about their monthly book selection, meetings, and events, a list of the books they have previously read and those that are on their proposed list. Basically a simple site for book club business and other housekeeping tasks. 

This is the second site I made from the same existing WordPress theme that I used on the MDBynum.com site (they were done within a short time of each other), that I then customized according to this client’s specs. I also created their header image with the club’s name and details.

This site represents one more step in my progression from simply customizing existing themes to creating my own WordPress themes. As always I learned a great deal of valuable information in the process and gave the client a website that wasn’t too complicated and overwhelming for them to maintain on their own.
